Pine Towers Apartments
Blackhawk Construction, LLC recently completed this HUD financed phased remodel of a senior living apartment community. The scope consisted of complete renovation to 47 studio apartments within a 4-story building.
Each phase was completed in stacks. As each stack was completed, the residents were moved over and construction commenced on the next stack. Blackhawk Construction completed all work while the facility remained occupied. Extensive coordination and notification efforts were required throughout the duration of the project.
The project included interior demolition, all new guard railing, metal stud framing, millwork, insulation, interior doors, exterior aluminum sliding glass doors, drywall, flooring, new appliances, plumbing and electrical reconfiguration and fixtures.
After commencement on the project, it was discovered that the existing drain, waste and vent system was deteriorated and had to be completely replaced. We were able to adapt to this challenge and added the substantial plumbing scope to our contract.
